THE WOMEN'S WESTERN GOLF ASSOCIATION WOULD LIKE TO THANK OUR
2006 MEMBER CLUBS
MEMBER CLUB EVENTS
The
well-known and highly prized LOW NET PIN is
sent annually to each Member Club. Approximately twice a
month, during the playing season, a low net event is
scheduled. The pin is awarded to the player with the total
of the four best low net scores.
From 1920
to 1975, WWGA sponsored the "Par Trophy Event" in
which a team of four played against their own club's par and
competed against other teams throughout the United States.
This event was discontinued and in its place, the
FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP DAY was started in 1976.
The
WOMEN'S WESTERN GOLF FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP DAY
is an annual club competition. Each participants pays an
entry fee for which she receives a bag tag with the
Foundation logo. A contribution of $25.00 or more warrants
a Foundation Pin. The entire United States is divided into
sections and the best four low net scores from each club
compete for prizes against other teams in their respective
section.
Member
Clubs received the WWGA Annual as well as records of the
three national championships conducted by the WWGA. Advice
is available to all members in regard to course rating,
handicaps and running of local club tournaments.
The WWGA is currently accepting 2008 Club
Membership dues.
