The following awards are presented at the WWGA Amateur Championship

 

Margaret Lenz Trophy ~~ Amateur Championship

 

Since 1973 the Margaret Lenz trophy has been awarded to the WWGA Amateur Medalist.  Margaret Lenz was a member of Beverly Country Club in Chicago, Illinois.  She served as President of the WWGA in 1948-49 and was a long-standing Director.  The Lenz Cup is given in her honor to the Medalist at the Amateur Championship

From 1929 to 1941, the Derby Cup was awarded to the winner of the WWGA 54-hole stroke play tournament.  The Cup was retired following the 1941 tournament.

Augustus Maschmeyer Cup ~~ Amateur Championship

From 1925 to 1981, the trophy was awarded to four players from the same club with the lowest combined net score from the qualifying round.  From 1982 to 2004, the trophy was awarded to a four player team from the same state with the lowest combined gross score from the qualifying round.  In 2005, the trophy was awarded to four players from the same state with the lowest combined gross score from the qualifying round. 

Beginning in 2007, the trophy has been awarded to four players from the same state or foreign country with the lowest combined gross score from the 36-hole qualifying round.
