The JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP (one of the oldest junior tournaments in the country) was introduced in 1920 for girls 17 years of age and younger.  With the exception of a few years during World War II, this event has been held consecutively.

Field:  Limited to 96 players. Foreign entries are welcome.

Format:  Match Play: 36-hole stroke play qualifying round to establish Flights. Tournament played at Scratch.  Championship Flight  -  Low 32 qualifiers.  Consolation in all Flights.

Entry Requirements:  Entries are open to amateur female golfers who 1) are girls 18 years of age or younger who have not reached 19 years of age by the date of the Finals of this Championship, 2) have an up-to-date 18-hole USGA Handicap Index not to exceed 22.4 under the USGA Handicap System, and 3) are not college or university students.

Caddies:   Players shall walk at all times. A player may carry her bag or use her own non-motorized pull cart. A player is prohibited from using a caddie during a stipulated round in the Championship.

Awards:  Icely Cup - Champion; Upchurch Trophy - Finalist; Marion Miley Bracelet - junior player having the lowest combined gross score from the qualifying rounds of the current year’s WWGA Amateur and Junior Championships.
